The 11th edition of IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements and Applications will take place in Benevento, Italy.
The symposium deals with all the aspects of interactions among the worlds of the instrumentation and measurement, bio-engineering, material science, chemical and biological measurements, and the medical field. The symposium enables researchers, doctors and technicians to exchange ideas and information, make connections and collaborations and update innovation on health care systems and diagnostics in medicine. Topics: + Sensors for medical systems / Sensor fusion and calibration + Biosignal processing + Imaging and communication + Measurement and quality control in medical preparations + Standards for medical applications + Embedded systems + Environmental Medicine & Home automation for disability, disease and old age + Bioengineering and rehabilitation + Biomedical robotic methods + Ecological model of measurements in medical applications + Monitoring of rehabilitation and accelerometry + Internet of Things (IoT) in Medicine + Patient safety + Medical and instrumentation uncertainty Authors are invited to submit an original full paper (5-6 pages) reporting original researches of theoretical or applied nature using the on-line submission system. The submission should explain the significance of the contribution and contain a list of key references. The manuscripts must be written in English according to the guidelines provided on the IEEE MeMeA 2016 web site: http://memea2016.ieee-ims.org All accepted papers will be submitted for publication to IEEE Xplore Attending people are encouraged to propose Special Sessions on topics of interest, specifying the focus for the session before 10 November 2015. Contact the Special Session Chair: Francesco Lamonaca, Ph.D. at flamonaca@deis.unical.it for special session proposals. A Special Issue of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM) will be published after the symposium. It will contain papers selected on the basis of the results of regular peer review of the manuscripts. Each manuscript should meet the scope of the TIM and be based on a paper presented at the symposium and published in the symposium proceedings. The manuscript must be significantly extended beyond the scope of the proceedings paper in terms of the overall technical content and research results |
