Abstract
The rapid growth of Cluster, Cloud, and Internet Computing (CCIC) has resulted in large-scale, complex, and dynamic systems that require adaptive, scalable, and intelligent solutions. Computational Intelligence (CI), encompassing evolutionary computation, artificial neural networks, deep and machine learning, fuzzy systems, and hybrid AI approaches, has emerged as a key enabler in addressing these challenges. CI techniques facilitate intelligent resource management, energy optimization, fault tolerance, and security solutions in highly distributed environments. This workshop aims to provide a dedicated forum to advance research at the intersection of CI and CCIC. By bridging these domains, CIC² complements the scope of CCGrid 2026 and promotes discussions on novel algorithms, frameworks, and applications for enhancing efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in distributed computing systems. Topics of Interest The workshop invites contributions in, but not limited to, the following areas: • CI for scalable resource management in cluster and cloud systems. • CI-based scheduling, load balancing, and fault tolerance in CCIC. • Intelligent security, trust, and privacy frameworks in distributed computing. • CI-driven energy efficiency and sustainability in cloud and data centers. • Federated learning and CI approaches in edge and fog computing. • CI-enabled smart applications: smart cities, healthcare, transport, and environment. • Evolutionary computation and metaheuristics for large-scale optimization. • Hybrid models integrating CI with HPC and distributed systems. • Benchmarking and performance evaluation of CI in distributed computing.
