The 18th European Dependable Computing Conference - EDCC 2022 12-15 September 2022, Zaragoza, Spain http://edcc.dependability.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------- Call for Papers The European Dependable Computing Conference is a leading venue for presenting and discussing the latest research, industrial practice and innovations in dependable and secure computing, with a long tradition started in 1994 and reaching the 18th edition. The European Dependable Computing Conference is a unique forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss their latest research results on theory, techniques, systems, and tools for the design, validation, operation and evaluation of dependable and secure computing systems. The conference will cover a broad perspective on dependability and security, which includes, but is not limited to: - Hardware and software architectures of dependable systems - Model-driven engineering approaches - Fault-tolerant networks & ultra-reliable low-latency communication - Dependability modelling and tools - Testing and validation methods - Development of safety and security-critical systems - Dependability and security of * Critical infrastructures, e.g. smart energy grids, intelligent transportation systems, smart cities * Cyber-physical systems * (Industrial) Internet of Things * Cloud, fog, and edge computing systems * Data analytics applications & systems based on machine learning and artificial intelligence * Databases and distributed ledgers (incl. Blockchains) * Artificial intelligence approaches - Data protection and data privacy *Paper Categories* The conference is inviting submissions to its different tracks in the following categories (two-column IEEE format): - *Regular papers* (up to 8 pages) solicited on theory, techniques, systems, and tools for the design, validation, operation and evaluation of dependable and secure computing systems, covering any fault model, from traditional hardware and software faults to accidental and malicious human interactions. - *Industrial track papers* (up to 8 pages). Traditionally, EDCC has strong ties to industry and practical problems. Hence, this track intends to attract papers directly related to an industrial use case or papers stemming from industry (at least one of the authors) with relation to a novel application of or new insights into practical aspects of dependability. The papers will undergo the normal review process but the practical experience aspects and insights into industrial application will be rated highly. A submission in this category must be clearly marked as such. - *Short papers* (3-4 pages) describing preliminary research work or position papers, a prototype/tool description, outlining the design or implementation of a software tool, or the prototyping of an operational system. A submission in this category must be clearly marked as such. All submissions must be made electronically through the EasyChair submission web page https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=edcc2022 The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE Conference Publishing Services (CPS). In particular, submissions must adhere to the CPS camera-ready two-column format. Pages must be numbered. Templates and further details can be found at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. *Important Dates*: - Main conference Abstract Submission: March 20th, 2022 Full Paper Submission: March 27th, 2022 Author Notification: May 29th, 2022 Camera-ready paper: July 3rd, 2022 - Student forum Paper submission: June 30th, 2022 Author notification: July 21st, 2022 Camera-ready paper: July 31st, 2022 - Fast abstracts Abstract submission: June 30th, 2022 Author notification: July 15th, 2022 Camera-ready paper: August 20th, 2022 All important dates at https://webdiis.unizar.es/EDCC22/dates.html General chairs: Simona Bernardi (University of Zaragoza, Spain) José Merseguer (University of Zaragoza, Spain) Program Committee chair: Simin Nadjm-Tehrani (Linköping University, Sweden) Web Chair: Elena Gómez-Martínez (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain) Local Organization and Financial Chairs: Pilar González (I3A, Spain) Jorge Júlvez (University of Zaragoza, Spain) Workshops Chair: Stefano Marrone (University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy) Students Forum Chair: Ibéria Medeiros (University of Lisboa, Portugal) Fast Abstract Chair: Geert Deconinck (KU Leuven, Belgium) Industrial Track Chair: Michael Paulitsch (Intel, Germany) Publication chair: Matthias Eckhart (SBA Research and University of Vienna, Austria) Publicity chairs: Diego Perez-Palacion (Linnaeus University, Sweden) Francesco Flammini (Mälardalen University, Sweden) For more information, visit: http://edcc.dependability.org/ |
