The Internet Culture Area of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association (PCA/ACA) invites proposals for individual papers, panels, roundtables, and alternative format presentations exploring Internet Culture as it relates to popular culture including, but not limited to:
• Web Culture • Internet Celebrity and Fame • Social Media and/or Marketing • The Internet and Social Change • Music/Film/Television and the Internet • Memes, Trends, and Viral Culture • Web Development and Design • Digital Distribution, Technology, and Ownership • Specific Websites (Facebook, Reddit, 4Chan, etc.) • Local, Global, and Glocal Internet Culture • History, Present State, and Future of the Internet The mission of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association is to promote the study of popular culture throughout the world through the establishment and promotion of conferences, publications, and discussion.
