16 – 17 October 2014 Call for Papers Important Dates - Submission of Papers: August 01, 2014, 18:00 UTC Notification of Acceptance: September 15, 2014 Camera-ready Version of Papers for Pre-proceedings: October 1st, 2014 BalkanCryptSec 2014 October 16-17, 2014 General Information The first edition of the annual International Conference on Cryptography and Information security -BalkanCryptSec 2014- will take place in Istanbul from 16 October to 17 October 2014 and will be organized by the Embedded System Design Laboratory at Istanbul Technical University. We are seeking contributions to theoretical and applied aspects of security and cryptography. Leuven, Belgium Instructions for Authors The submissions must be anonymous with no author names, affiliations or obvious references. The length of the submission must be at most 12 pages, excluding references and appendices, in a single column format, in 11pt fonts and with reasonable margins. Authors are encouraged to prepare the submission using LaTeX according to the instructions listed on here. These instructions are mandatory for the final papers. Submitted papers must be in PDF format and should be submitted electronically. The web link to the submission server will be published on the conference website. The submission should begin with a title and a short abstract. The introduction should summarize the contributions of the paper at the level understandable for a non-expert reader. The reviewers are not required to read appendices, the paper should be intelligible without them. Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits. Submissions must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors has published in a journal or a conference/workshop with proceedings, or has submitted/is planning to submit before the author notification deadline to a journal or other conferences/workshops that have proceedings. Accepted submissions may not appear in any other conference or workshop that has proceedings. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. The proceedings will be published after the conference, allowing to use the community feedback received during the conference for the final versions of the papers. Conference Proceedings We are in negotations with Springer-Verlag for publishing the proceedings of the conference in Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Pre-proceedings will be available at the conference and post-proceedings will be published in LNCS series after the conference.
