Prof. Belkacem Ould Bouamama, Polytech’Lille - CRIStAL, France Prof. Kamal Medjaher, École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes - LGP, France Session description: This special session deals with the problem of failure prognostics of complex systems. These systems, characterized by uncertainties, nonlinear and stochastic phenomena, are subject to degradations and failures that impact negatively their performances. Their continuous monitoring becomes then essential to ensure their availability and reliability and reduce their maintenance costs. This monitoring aims at detecting the current health state of the system and estimating its remaining useful life leading to a proactive and dynamic planning of maintenance interventions. The goal of this session is then to gather original scientific and practical contributions dealing with failure prognostics. More particularly, contributions addressing data-driven, model-based and hybrid approaches are encouraged. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: • Model-based failure prognostics • Data-driven failure prognostics • Hybrid failure prognostics • System level prognostics • Prognostics metrics • Case studies |
