Session description
This special session deals with the problem of statistical analysis of optimization algorithms, which are employed in optimized designed controllers for various case studies. One of the main problems, which the scientists are concerned about when encountering real problems is the optimized solution. Nowadays optimization applications in different sciences has been revealed. In particular, optimization techniques have been used widely in the field of control engineering. Therefore, achieving the best values of control parameters, which provide optimized objective functions is crucial. Also Sensitivity analysis is an important part in optimization process and hence research in the application of sensitivity analysis in optimization has been progressed in past two decades. Therefore, Statistical analysis of optimization algorithms and the study of their parameter’s impact on various case studies, needs much more comprehensive research.
This special session aims to provide an opportunity for research and scientific discussion in the field of application and theoretical foundation in control engineering using approximate optimization algorithms such as evolutionary algorithms based on statistical analysis. Furthermore, a document can be composed and published at the end of the conference, which would be a reference for the prospective researchers who aim to explore more.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Optimization
• Optimal control
• Heuristic, meta-heuristic and hyper heuristic algorithms
• Design Metaheuristics Algorithms
• Metaheuristics Algorithms Implementation
• Application of Statistical analysis and tools in the field of Control Engineering
• Optimized Controllers via Evolutionary Optimization Algorithms (EAs)
• Approximate Optimization Algorithms
• Classical Optimization algorithms
• Statistical Analysis Theory
