COLING 2014 – First AHA! Workshop on Information Discovery in Text (AHA!-Workshop)
August 23, 2014, Dublin, Ireland www.aha-workshop.de Recent years have seen an increased interest in moving beyond the limitations of traditional Information Extraction (IE) to allow for the discovery and extraction of structured information in text collections of unknown content and arbitrary domains. Such Information Discovery (ID) approaches are not bound by a pre-specified schema of information, but rather discover relational or categorial structure automatically from given unstructured data. The intent of this workshop is to bring together leading researches in the emerging field of Information Discovery in Text to discuss current approaches, their potential and limitations, as well as visions for future directions.
