The 13th International Symposium on Pervasive Systems, Algorithms, and Networks (I-SPAN 2014) http://umc.uestc.edu.cn/conference/ISPAN2014 Dec. 19th - 21st, 2014, Chengdu, Sichuan, China --------------- CALL FOR PAPERS --------------- Pervasive system and computing is an emerging field of research and revolutionary paradigm for next-generation IT applications. The 13th International Symposium on Pervasive Systems, Algorithms, and Networks (I-SPAN 2014) aims to establish an international forum for engineers and scientists to present their excellent ideas, latest innovations and experiences on Pervasive Systems, Algorithms, and Networks. The 13th International Symposium on Pervasive Systems, Algorithms, and Networks (I-SPAN 2014) follows the tradition of previous successful I-SPAN conferences, I-SPAN 1994 (Kanazawa, Japan), I-SPAN 1996 (Beijing, China), I-SPAN 1997 (Taipei, Taiwan), I-SPAN 1999 (Perth/Freemantle, Australia), I-SPAN 2000 (Dallas/Richardson, Texas, USA), I-SPAN 2002 (Manila, Philippines), I-SPAN 2004 (Hong Kong, China), I-SPAN 2005 (Las Vegas, USA), I-SPAN 2008 (Sydney, Australia), I-SPAN 2009 (Kaoshiung, Taiwan), I-SPAN 2011 (Dalian, China), I-SPAN 2012 (San Marcos, Texas). I-SPAN2014 will be held on Dec. 19th-21st, 2014 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. Topics of interest in this year focus on 8 popular areas in particular, but are not limited to: Track 1: Graphs, Algorithms and Networks Track 2: Parallel and Distributed Systems Track 3: Cloud Computing and Big Data Track 4: Pervasive Computing and Intelligence Track 5: Mobile Computing and Communication Track 6: Cyber Physical Systems Track 7: Multimedia Technology and Applications Track 8: Information and Cyber Security ---------------- PAPER SUBMISSION ---------------- Papers need to be prepared according to the IEEE format, and submitted in PDF format via the I-SPAN2014 submission site: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ispan2014 ------------------ PAPER PUBLICATION ------------------ Accepted and presented papers will be included into the IEEE Conference Proceedings published by IEEE CS Press (indexed by EI). Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the conference, otherwise their papers will be removed from the digital libraries of IEEE CS and EI after the conference. Distinguished papers accepted and presented in I-SPAN 2014, after further extensions, will be published in special issues of SCI/EI Indexed journals. ---------------------- JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUES ---------------------- Distinguished papers accepted and presented in I-SPAN2014, after further extensions, will be published in special issues of the following SCI/SCIE/EI Indexed Journals. ● IEEE System Journal (IEEE) ● Journal of Internet Technology ● International Journal of Communication Systems (Wiley) ● International Journal of Distributed Sensor Network (Hindawi) ● Journal of Computational Science (Elsevier) ● EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (Springer) ● International Journal of Big Data Intelligence (Inderscience) ● International Journal of Grid and High Performance Computing (IGI-Global) ● Journal of Interconnection Network (World Scientific) --------------- IMPORTANT DATES --------------- Workshop and special session proposal deadline: June 20, 2014 Paper submission deadline: Aug. 10, 2014 Paper result notification: Sep. 20, 2014 Final camera ready and registration: Oct. 10, 2014 ----------------------------- WORKSHOPS AND SPECIAL SESSION ----------------------------- The I-SPAN2014 Organizing Committee invites proposals for one/half day workshops and special sessions affiliated with the conference and addressing research areas related to the conference.
