We are pleased to invite you to the1st workshop on Technology for Wearable medical and sports applications TecWear'14) in conjunction with the10th International Intelligent Environments Conference in Shanghai, China from 30th June - 1st July 2014. This workshop will be focused on technologies for healthcare and sports services which share a common body sensing and data processing need. The workshop aims to bring researchers and industries together to share their ideas, methodologies and results so as to encourage the application of intelligent environment technology to these important market sectors. Workshops are an ideal venue for early work such as conceptual models and initial experiements. As such, we are especially interested in papers that can drive discussions that will lead to further research and technology improvements in this important subject. As such the coverage of this workshop is relatively broad and covers topics such as (but are not limited to):
Wearable sensors and computing Mobile technologies for sports and wellness Indoor and outdoor localization Home & Field monitoring agent services Data fusion for wearable technologies User centred design for wearable technologies Context-aware computing for wearable technologies Multimodal HCI for interaction and feedback Activity classification algorithms 'Big Data' management and decision support 'in the wild' Data visualisation for wearable technologies Real-time behaviour analysis Real-time crisis management Sensing and effecting for Chinese medicine Format of Submissions All submissions must adhere to the IOS Press format with a length of at least 6 but no more than 12 pages. All papers accepted will be published by IOS Press. The format of the papers should adhere to the IOS publication guidelines (http://www.iospress.nl/service/authors/latex-and-word-tools-for-book-authors/).
