International Workshop on Symbiotic Interaction
Helsinki, 30th and 31st of October 2014 (co-located with NordiCHI 2014) DEADLINE EXTENDED 10th of July 2014 Deadline for Abstracts 12th of July 2014 Deadline for Research Papers, Demos and Posters submission www.symbiotic2014.org The workshop brings together researchers and practitioners interested in investigating a novel generation of symbiotic relationships between humans and computers . Symbiotic interaction can be achieved combining computation, sensing technology and interaction design to realise deep perception, awareness and understanding between humans and computers. Important aspects to implement are transparency, reciprocity and collaborative use of resources across both computers and humans. We invite researchers from different disciplines such as computational science, engineering, psychology, and design to contribute to the emergent field of study of Symbiotic Interaction. Call for Contributions include Research Papers (12 pages) or Posters and Demos (6 pages) that contribute to an emergent community investigating Symbiotic Interaction as a future paradigm with theories and conceptual frameworks, experiments and user studies, technologies, systems, applications, and design driven research. The proceedings will be published in LNCS Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science.
