Call For Papers | |||||||||||
The International Conference on the Constructed Environment aims to open broad-ranging and interdisciplinary conversations on human configurations of the environment and the interactions among the constructed, social, and natural environments. This conference brings together researchers, teachers, and practitioners to discuss questions of shared interest and common concern. The resulting conversations weave between the empirical and the theoretical, research and its application, the ideal and the pragmatic, and structures and spaces which represent private, public, community or commercial orientations.
The conference community emerging from these conversations crosses a broad sweep of disciplinary and professional practices: architecture, anthropology, business, design, economics, education, engineering, environmental design, industrial design, interior design, landscape architecture, sociology, town and regional planning, and transportation. We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia that explore the Constructed Environment through one of the following themes: * Design and Planning Processes * Environmental Impacts * Building Processes * Social Impacts Topics are intentionally broad to encourage a wide range of ideas, discussions, and backgrounds. Proposed abstracts are reviewed in monthly rounds. For more details on submission deadlines, registration, themes, and more, please visit our website: http://constructedenvironment.com/the-conference-2014 All conference registrants may also submit their written papers for publication in the refereed International Journal of the Constructed Environment. |
