NEXT CALL for Workshops@ICSE 2018 http://www.icse2018.org/track/icse-2018-workshop-proposals ========================================================================= ICSE, the International Conference on Software Engineering, is the premier software engineering conference, providing a forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, research, experiences, trends and concerns in the field of Software engineering. In 2018 ICSE will celebrate its 40th anniversary, and 50 years of Software Engineering – 50 years of tremendously successful promotion of research, education and practices in Software Engineering. ICSE 2018 is coming to Gothenburg, Sweden. Science and research are a genuine part of the Scandinavian culture visible through the institution of Nobel Prize awards. In addition, Sweden hosts high technology companies in which software plays an essential part. Town Gothenburg with its two internationally renown universities, with many ICT and ICT-related companies, with many cultural attractions, impressive modern infrastructure including the Scandinavian largest convention center, and surrounding beautiful nature is welcoming you! Important Dates - submission due dates Aug 25, 2017 Technical Papers Oct 10, 2017 Workshop Proposals Oct 23, 2017 SE in Practice Oct 23, 2017 SE Education and Training Oct 23, 2017 SE in Society Oct 23, 2017 New Ideas and Emerging Results Nov 01, 2017 Technical Briefings Nov 20, 2017 Doctoral Symposium Nov 20, 2017 Demonstrations Nov 30, 2017 Journal First Papers Jan 08, 2018 ACM SRC Jan 22, 2018 Student Volunteers Feb 05, 2018 Posters ICSE 2018 has many events that enable presentations and discussion of different topics in Software Engineering and related areas, where the participants can present and discuss initial ideas, work in progress, preliminary results, on-going work, and final findings and results rigorously analyzed and presented. The following events and call for papers are available: Main Conference tracks *Technical track* - We invite submissions of high quality research papers that describe original and unpublished results on any topic of empirical or theoretical software engineering research. We welcome submissions addressing topics across the full spectrum of software engineering, broadly construed. Journal-First Paper Initiative - ICSE has begun to form partnerships with prestigious journals to incorporate journal-first papers into the ICSE program. Through this initiative, authors of journal-first papers accepted in the partnering journals will be invited to present their work at ICSE. Software Engineering in Practice Track - The SEIP Track is the premier venue for researchers and practitioners to discuss innovations and solutions to concrete software engineering problems. SEIP will gather highly-qualified industrial and research participants that are eager to communicate and share common interests in software engineering. Software Engineering in Society - The SEIS scope is bold and ambitious in that it takes a specific focus on the impact of the accelerating speed of digital technology advances in society. SEIS authors are encouraged to contribute both mature, and novel but soundly-motivated research. SEIS welcomes multi- and interdisciplinary research showcasing how software engineering can contribute to the many dimensions of software embedded in society. Software Engineering Education and Training - Synergy between research and education is the key premise of a research university. Many of us play dual roles as software engineering researchers and software engineering educators. SEET welcomes papers that discuss education of Software Engineering. New Ideas and Emerging Results - NIER provides a forum for innovative, thought-provoking research in software engineering to accelerate the exposure of the community to early yet promising and potentially inspiring research efforts. The main tracks are enriched by several complementary activities. ACM Student Research Competition invite PhD students to compete in presentation of their research Demonstrations enable presentation of tools and different type of system and software implementations - Doctoral Symposium is dedicated to PhD students to discuss their research - SCORE is a competition for master students in Software Engineering. - Posters are intended for a broad participation, for a presentation of their research from starting ideas to the concrete results. All events invite submission of papers that will be published in ICSE proceedings. Workshops - The workshops at ICSE provide a forum for groups of 20-50 participants to discuss topics in software engineering research and practice. ICSE workshops serve as incubators for scientific communities that form and share a particular research agenda. ICSE workshops also provide opportunities for researchers to exchange and discuss scientific and engineering ideas at an early stage, before they have matured to warrant conference or journal publication. Technical Briefings are short tutorials for researchers and practitioners giving fast insight in the latest technologies, tools, theories and methods. |
