Dear Madam/Sir,

We hereby invite you to participate in the third international scientific conference Methodical Days 2014 in Kikinda, on May 24th 2014, organized with the aim of presenting scientific and research articles dealing with competences needed and developed by preschool teachers and all those working in education in a knowledge society.

The purpose of the conference is active exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences related to the competences needed and developed by preschool teachers and all those working in education in a knowledge society, as well as the development and affirmation of this theme in our society.

Initial list of the thematic fields (Sections) of the Conference:

1. European dimensions of teachers’ competences,
2. Models of managing changes in the educational system’s environment (social, economic, cultural, IT, technological, and other changes) – trends and challenges,
3. Developmental assessment and evaluation of the education outcomes as a part of the interaction between the educational system and other national systems (industry, culture, science and technology, public services, administration, etc.),
4. Professional development of teachers in terms of digitalization and informatization of society, and
5. Research approaches and best practice examples
The organizers may decide on expanding this list in case new themes comply with the key theme of the Conference and a sufficient amount of applications is received.
You can take part in the Conference as an author or an active listener.
Participants should apply before February 1st 2014. The application form can be downloaded from http://www.vaspitacka.edu.rs/files/nauka/008-Application%20form%202014.doc. This form is to be sent by all participants, authors and listeners alike.
All participants are hereby asked to include in the application form an abstract (not longer than 1400 characters) written in native language and in English. The whole article (10000-25000 characters) can be sent after the Conference. Printed collection of abstracts shall be distributed at the Conference, and the Proceedings Book shall be published after the Conference. Only the submissions sent before the deadline shall be included in the conference Proceedings Book.
The Organizer shall apply to the Serbian Institute for Improvement of Education in order to accredit the Conference for a professional specialization certificate.
Registration and participation fee for presenting authors is 5000,00 RSD (covers lunch and cocktail, Conference material, collection of abstracts and the conference Proceedings Book).
