Call For Papers | |||||||||
Sustainable production and consumption can be defined as production and use of products and services in a manner that is socially beneficial, economically viable and environmentally benign over their whole life cycle.
This new journal, launched by IChemE and Elsevier, aims to provide a leading platform for publishing high-quality interdisciplinary research related to this broad topic. It looks uniquely at the interactions between technology, consumption and policy to help identify more sustainable solutions for both production and consumption. Papers from engineers, natural and social scientists are invited and those at the interface between these disciplines are particularly encouraged. For a comprehensive list of topics, the full list of editorial board members and to submit your articles, visit the journal homepage. Special Issue: Sustainability issues in the energy-food-water nexus The first issue of the journal will be a Special Issue aiming to provide ground-breaking contributions to the global challenges of providing sustainable supplies of energy, food and water. These challenges have traditionally been considered in isolation of each other but it is becoming increasingly clear that wider cross-sectoral impacts need to be considered, taking a life cycle approach to identify relevant environmental, economic and social aspects. A nexus approach seeks to understand these interdependencies, to help find more sustainable solutions for supplying energy, food and water. Deadline for submission: 28 February 2015 |
