GENERAL
ISARC series have been organised by members of the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction (IAARC) to address the needs and concerns of a global community in all fields of construction, including civil and building engineering, machine automation, robotics applications to construction, mining automation, infrastructure networks, construction and environmental sustainability, Information Technology innovations, planning, logistics, etc. IAARC welcomes participation from other industrial sectors and governments. OBJECTIVE ISARC 2014 will be a prestigious gathering of researchers, academics and industry practitioners in all specialty areas related to the construction, mining and built infrastructure industry. Apart from addressing latest advances in automation and robotic technologies for construction, building and mining, field instrumentation and sensors, excavation and haulage, safety and protection, fleet management, and computer-aided process design and optimization, ISARC 2014 will focus on issues of efficiency, productivity, quality, and reliability in construction/mining automation and its interactions with the environment under the theme "Automation, Mining, Construction and Environment." IMPORTANT DATES Full paper submission deadline: 31 JAN 2014 Notification of papers acceptance: 17 MAR 2014 Early-Bird Registration: 25 APR 2014 PROGRAM The technical program of ISARC 2014 will consist of keynote speeches, workshops, invited sessions and oral/poster presentations. Papers describing original work on abstractions, algorithms, theories, methodologies, and case studies are invited. Accepted full papers will be published in the Proceedings of ISARC 2014. The symposium is an offspring of the Elsevier journal Automation in Construction. Top-rated and extended papers will be selected to be published in a Special Issue of Automation in Construction http://www.journals.elsevier.com/automation-in-construction/conferences/isarc2014-automation-robotics-construction-mining/ or in Springer's Visualization in Engineering.
