13th ACM International Conference on Virtual Reality Continuum and Its Applications in Industry - ACM SIGGRAPH VRCAI 2014
(co-located with Siggraph Asia 2014)

Shenzhen Polytechnic, Shenzhen, 30 Nov - 2 Dec, 2014

Call for Papers

VRCAI is an annual international conference on virtual reality continuum and its applications, co-sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH. The 13th ACM International Conference on Virtual Reality Continuum and Its Applications in Industry (VRCAI 2014) conference will be held during Nov 30 - Dec 2 at Shenzhen, co-located with Siggraph Asia 2014. As a joint conference of SIGGRAPH ASIA 2014, VRCAI 2014 will take place just before SIGGRAPH Asia 2014.

VRCAI 2014 solicits technical and application papers from both academia and industry in the world - a hotbed of innovation - where fundamental methods, state-of-the-art technologies and applications in the Virtual Reality Continuum (VRC) will be explored and presented. Virtual Reality Continuum (VRC) emphasizes the consistence of virtual world and the real world. Spanning across next-generation info-communication environments like Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Virtuality (AV), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), VRC is key in the way we define and interact, with and within, our virtual worlds. To advance research in the VRC fields, VRCAI 2014 seeks to provide a forum for scientists, researchers, developers, users and industry leaders in the international VRC community to come together to share experiences, exchange ideas and spur one another in the knowledge of this fast-growing field.

VRCAI 2014 will focus on the following main themes: VRC Fundamentals, Systems, Interactions, and Industry and various Applications of the VRC.

We invite submissions of full Papers (up to 10 pages) or short Papers (up to 4 pages). All accepted papers will be published in the VRCAI Conference Proceedings and will be included in ACM digital library (EI-indexed). Authors of Selected Full papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their manuscripts for publication in special sessions of the Journal of Computer Animation and Virtual Worlds (SCI-indexed) by John Wiley or other journals.
