About the Conference
-----------------------

Since 1997, the International Conference on Evaluation and Assessment in Software Engineering (EASE) has been a forum for knowledge sharing about issues related to empirical software engineering and their application in software development practice. In a workshop-like atmosphere, researchers present and discuss the latest results of empirical and evaluation studies covering a wide range of topics in software engineering.

Topics
-----------------------

Topics may relate to any aspect of empirical software engineering, and include, but are not limited to:

1. Experiments and Quasi-experiments
2. Survey Research
3. Case studies
4. Ethnographic and Observational studies
5. Action research
6. Replications of empirical studies
7. Methodological issues and practices
8. Systematic reviews, mapping studies, and meta-analysis

Submission
-----------------------

We invite submissions in either of the following forms:

-- Research papers presenting novel approaches with new research results (maximum 10 pages including references).
-- Short papers (maximum 4 pages including references).
-- New ideas and research proposals (maximum 4 pages).
-- Industry presentations in slide format (maximum 10 slides).

Submitted papers must be written in English, should not have been submitted for review or published elsewhere, and must conform to the ACM SIG proceedings templates http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates.

Submissions are accepted via Easy Chair. Submit your paper at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ease2014.

Proceedings & Journal Special Issue
-------------------------------------------

Accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings and available electronically via ACM Digital Library within its International Conference Proceedings Series. Authors of best papers will be invited to submit a revised and extended version of their papers to a special issue of the Information and Software Technology Journal.
