COMPUTER-BASED MEDICAL SYSTEMS(CBMS 2008)
Special Track 8: HEALTH KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT https://www.cs.tcd.ie/conferences/cbms08hkm/ CALL FOR PAPERS Healthcare staff are notable in the amount of interaction and mobility exhibited in their work, which often involves synchronous (or asynchronous), coupled, communication and activity, and is sometimes conducted among a distributed team. This special track invites reports on significant unpublished work in the area of computer-support for co-operative work in healthcare with particular emphasis on design and technology applications for interaction among medical specialists. Research on support for collaboration among medical, nursing, scientific and ancillary staff is encouraged, including case studies or incident reports. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Ward rounds Shift handover Meeting support Mobile work Team working Consultations Visual communication environments Remote collaboration Collaborative writing / notetaking Shared displays Intense collaborative environments Computer support for co-operative healthcare work Submission of paper (IEEE 2-column, 6-pages maximum) IMPORTANT DATES January 28th, 2008 March 1st, 2008 Notification of acceptance March 28th, 2008 Final camera-ready paper due June 17-19th, 2008 Symposium Submission Procedure Unlike workshops, where position papers and reports on initial and intended work are appropriate, papers selected for a special track should report on significant unpublished work suitable for publication as a conference paper.
