======================================= 9th International Workshop on Computational Optimization (WCO'16) Gdansk, Poland, 11 - 14 September, 2016 WWW: http://fedcsis.org/wco E-mail: wco2016@fedcsis.org We would like to cordially invite you to consider contributing a paper to WCO 2016 - held as a part of the Federated Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems (FedCSIS 2016). FedCSIS a yearly international multi-conference organized by the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI) in technical cooperation with the IEEE Region 8, IEEE Poland (Gdansk) Section Computer Society Chapter, Poland Section Computational Intelligence Society Chapter, ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, Lodz ACM Chapter, European Alliance for Innovation, Polish Operational and Systems Research Society - POSRS, Eastern Cluster ICT Poland, Mazovia Cluster ICT. The aim of this workshop is to stimulate the communication between researchers working on different fields of optimization and practitioners who need reliable and efficient computational optimization methods. TOPICS ======================================= The list of topics includes, but is not limited to: - unconstrained and constrained optimization - combinatorial optimization - continues optimization - global optimization - multiobjective optimization - optimization in dynamic and/or noisy environments - large scale optimization - parallel and distributed approaches in optimization - random search algorithms, simulated annealing, tabu search and other derivative free optimization methods - nature inspired optimization methods (evolutionary algorithms, ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, immune artificial systems etc) - hybrid optimization algorithms involving natural computing techniques and other global and local optimization methods - computational biology and optimization - distance geometry and applications - optimization methods for learning processes and data mining - application of optimization methods on real life and industrial problems - computational optimization methods in statistics, econometrics, finance, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering etc. PAPER SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION ======================================= Papers should be submitted by May 9, 2016 (strict deadline). Preprints will be published on a USB memory stick provided to the FedCSIS participants. Only papers presented during the conference will be submitted to the IEEE for inclusion in the Xplore Digital Library. Furthermore, proceedings, published in a volume with ISBN and ISSN numbers will posted at the conference WWW site. Extended versions of selected papers presented during the conference will be published as a volume in the Studies in Computational Intelligence series.
