First International Conference on Smart Technology-based Education and Training (STET-2014)
Conference theme: From smart technology towards smart education and smart society Conference Web site: http://stet14.kesinternational.org/ 18 – 20 June 2014 Chania, Crete, Greece Conference venue: The Minoa Palace Resort & Spa - http://www.minoapalace.gr/ GOAL ==== The STET international conference is aimed at rapidly growing fusion of three areas: - smart technology, intelligent systems, computer science and computer engineering; - engineering of state-of-the-art educational software and hardware systems; and - advanced technology-based teaching and learning strategies and methodologies. The STET international conference serves as an innovative incubator for research, design, development, systems and applications of “smart technology + smart software/hardware systems + smart education/training”. STET-2014 is focused on presentation and discussion of innovative ideas, approaches, technologies, systems, and research findings in the emerging area of smart technology and its applications in education and corporate training. CONFERENCE PAPERS and PROCEEDINGS: PUBLISHER, INDEXING and CHAPTER BOOK =============================================================== PUBLISHER. The conference proceedings will be published by the IOS publishing company in the IOS Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence and Applications series (IOS FAIA). INDEXING in SCOPUS, ACM DL, DBLP, and other DBs. IOS FAIA series is indexed in SciVerse Scopus, ACM Digital Library (DL), DBLP, Google Scholar and Zentralblatt MATH. In previous years it was also indexed in ISI Conference Proceedings Citation Index - CPCi / Web of Science (Thomson-Reuter makes a decision on a year-by-year basis which conferences to index in CPCi). STET-2014 conference proceedings will be sent to all above mentioned DBs for possible indexing. CHAPTER BOOK by SPRINGER. Based on preliminary agreement, authors of selected high quality conference papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers into an edited chapter book published by Springer in the ISRL series (final approval is pending). Contributions are invited from prospective authors with interests in the indicated conference topics and related areas of application. All contributions should be high quality, original and not published elsewhere or submitted for publication during the review period. Papers will be thoroughly reviewed by the International Program Committee and external evaluators, and may be accepted for oral or poster presentation.
