Louisiana State University Department of French Studies 8th Annual Graduate Student Conference
Taboo, Sacrifice, and the Sacred February 21-22, 2014 Keynote Round Table Discussion with Susan Baddeley, Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and Fabrice Jejcic, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique Keynote Address by Valérie Loichot, Emory University The Department of French Studies Graduate Student Association at Louisiana State University invites proposals for individual papers or panels on topics regarding taboo, sacrifice, the sacred, and their relations to one another in French and Francophone literature and linguistics. We also encourage submissions of papers which compare various genres and eras, as well as those which regard film, music, performance, and other aspects of French and Francophone culture. Papers, in either French or English, should be no more than 20 minutes in length, and abstracts should include a 200-word summary as well as your university affiliation and contact information.
