Call For Papers

The themes Multimedia and Visualization are concerned with principles, tools and processes that improve our ability to understand, create, manage, visualize and maintain multimedia in general and interactive media in particular. The aim of this track is to bring together researchers from academia and industry who are actively engaged both in theoretical and practical aspects of these multidisciplinary themes, including those interested in discussing issues relative to Human-Computer Interaction and Human-Media Interaction.

Authors are invited to submit papers which will be evaluated in terms of: originality and technical content and accuracy, significance of the work, appropriateness for the ACM SAC MMV track, presentation (organization, style and clarity).

SAC has grown to be a large and very competitive conference. For instance, in the past 3 years the MMV track had an acceptance rate smaller than 30%, as the other tracks in the symposium.

Accepted papers will be made available in the ACM digital library: authors are invited to check the papers presented at previous editions of the ACM SAC symposium at: http://portal.acm.org/event.cfm?id=RE133

Please, note that paper registration is required, allowing the inclusion of the paper/poster in the conference proceedings. An author or a proxy attending SAC MUST present the paper. This is a requirement for the paper/poster to be included in the ACM/IEEE digital library. No-show of scheduled papers and posters will result in excluding them from the ACM/IEEE digital library.

As in the previous editions of the MMV Track at SAC'09, MMV Track at SAC'10, MMV Track at SAC'11, MMV Track at SAC'12 and MMV Track at SAC'13 topics and technologies relevant to this track include (but are not limited to):
