Call For Papers

Convergence - of content and technologies - is a theme that increasingly dominates the digital world. Applications, devices, networks and infrastructure are converging, and are creating an immense amount of converged content, both of which pose complex challenges for organizations, developers and users. In the case of convergence interaction, we are seeing the convergence of frameworks and paradigms like augmented reality, ubiquitous computing and pervasive computing; and we are seeing new kinds of content, much of it user-generated, that can be searched, organized and consumed on many devices and in many formats. The challenges of converged technologies and content require new algorithms, application paradigms, interaction methods, and services; the creation of expressive annotation frameworks, scalable algorithms, new paradigms for information discovery; and ways of searching, organizing and delivering converged information for delivery at the right place, at the right time and at the right level of detail.

The aim of this issue is to bring together researchers and practitioners in area of Convergence Interaction for Communication to share their visions, propose solutions, address challenges and establish cooperative research agendas. This will give an opportunity to connect the discussions regarding the potential of intelligent interactions for computing taking place across many communities.
