Brief Description:

Grid and parallel computing face different challenges based on the security and
reliability of such environments. These include issues such as the certification of results, the multi-objective optimization of environment parameters and protocols, the robustness of the underlying middleware, etc. New generations of mobile grids based on context- aware services bring yet another dimension of complexity.

The gosal of this workshop is to bring together those interested in addressing issues of \
concern and challenges related to optimization, computational sciences, and high
performance computing and how recent technologies might help solve these problems.

Workshop Topics (but is not limited to):

The workshop is intended to address recent advances in new generations of algorithms,
protocols and middleware for grids/parallel computing environments that may include:
* Fault Tolerant Algorithms
* Deterministic and Probabilistic Certification of Results
* Static and Dynamic Robust Scheduling of Tasks
* Meta-Optimization of Protocol/Algorithm Parameters for Given Environments/Mobility
Models
* Multi-Objective Optimization (e.g. Time, Money, Use of Resources, Level of Result
Guarantee, etc) of Algorithms/Middleware
* Self-Adapting and/or Self-Configuring Algorithms (in Mobile Grids)
* Validation and Testing of Algorithms/Protocols for Grids

Paper Submissions:

Submitted papers must not have been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
Submission should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, and email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the corresponding author and include up to 6 keywords from the above list and an abstract of no more than 350 words. The full manuscript should be at most 7 pages using the two-column IEEE format. Additional pages will be charged additional fee. Please include page numbers on all submissions to make it easier for reviewers to provide helpful comments. All submissions should be appropriately anonymized (i.e., papers should not contain author names, affiliations, or obvious citations). Please submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript as attachment via the email to Pascal.Bouvry@uni.lu. Your submission will be acknowledged within 48 hours.

Only PDF files will be accepted. Each paper will receive a minimum of three reviews.
Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers will be presented at the workshop. Accepted papers will be published by ECMS in the conference proceedings which will be available at the time of the meeting.
