IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference 2011 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ November 14-16, 2011 Amsterdam, The Netherlands http://www.ieee-vnc.org/2011 CALL FOR PAPERS Important dates --------------- Paper registration date: July 15, 2011 Latest manuscript submission date: July 27, 2011 (*extended*) Notification of acceptance date: September 12, 2011 Final paper submission date: September 26, 2011 The IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference 2011 (IEEE VNC 2011) seeks to bring together researchers, professionals, and practitioners to present and discuss recent developments and challenges in vehicular networking technologies, and their applications. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): - Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications - Vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications - Vehicle-to-X communications - Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) - In-vehicle communications - Applications of vehicular networks including ITS - Security and privacy in vehicular networks - Protocols for vehicular networks (MAC, routing, mobility management, etc.) - Architecture, algorithms and protocols for data dissemination in vehicular networks - In-network processing and aggregation - Network and QoS management for vehicular networks - Physical layer and antenna technologies for vehicular networks - RF propagation models for vehicular networks - Radio resource management for vehicular networks - Simulation and performance evaluation techniques for vehicular networks - Experimental systems for vehicular networks - Field operational tests and testbeds for vehicular networks - Assessment of impact of vehicular networks on transportation efficiency and safety - Emission modelling and environmental impact assessment - Standardization and economical models for vehicular networks - Dependability of vehicular networks - Networking with other road users - Vehicular network as a sensor network - Regional requirements and their consequences All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will appear in the conference CD proceedings as well as on IEEE Xplore. Paper Submission ---------------- All final paper submissions should be written in English and must be formatted in standard IEEE 2-column format. All papers are limited in length to eight (8) printed pages (10-point font) including figures, tables, and references. Papers exceeding 8 pages will not be accepted at EDAS, nor reviewed at all. The mandatory IEEE template in Microsoft Word and LaTeX format can be found at http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html Only Adobe PDF files will be accepted for the review process and all submissions must be made electronically through the EDAS system.
