* About SWCIB
The 3rd International Workshop on Semantic Web-based Computer Intelligence with Big-data (SWCIB 2014) will be held in conjunction with the 4th Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST2014, http://language-semantic.org/jist2014/). Given the success of the previous two editions of this workshop, which have been collocated with the 2nd Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST2012) and the 3rd Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST2013), respectively, we are encouraged to organize the third version of this series. * Aims and Scope The characteristic of intelligence is usually attributed to humans but, recently, many products and systems are also regarded to be intelligent. The recent prevalence of smartphones and sensors is accelerating the generation of big-data to be utilized for computer-based intelligence and Apple’s Siri and IBM’s Watson are brightening the future prospects of the research on intelligence and knowledge constructed and implemented from big data. In this big wave of big data and intelligence, the workshop on Semantic Web-based computer intelligence with big data will be quite interesting and beneficial to many researchers and practitioners from academy to industry. This international workshop aims to discuss key issues and practices of Semantic Web and big data technologies for computational intelligence. Specifically, by bringing together representatives of academia and industry, the workshop will be also a means for identifying new research problems and disseminating results of the research and practice on Semantic Web, Big Data and Computer Intelligence. * Topics of Interest Topics of interest include but are not limited to: - Collecting and Managing Big Data for Intelligence - Ontology and Semantic Web for Intelligence - Linked (Open) Data Analysis for Intelligence - Entity Disambiguation on Large Scale Semantic Data - Reasoning on Large Scale Semantic Data - Context-Aware Reasoning and Representation - Knowledge Extraction and Learning from Big Data - Knowledge Representation, Managing and Sharing - Text Mining and Information Extraction from Big Data - Event Extraction from Big Data - Complex Event Processing - Data-driven Web Intelligence - Data-driven Business Intelligence - Data-driven Technology/Competitive/Collective Intelligence - Data-driven Trend Analysis - Data-driven Predictive Analysis - Data-driven Prescriptive Analysis - Information Analysis for Intelligence - Visualizing and Providing Intelligence * Submissions and Publications Authors are invited to submit original papers that MUST NOT have been submitted to or published in any other workshop, conference, or journal. Authors should submit a paper within 6 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. All papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee for significance, originality, accuracy, and clarity. Please use the Springer LNCS format for submission, which is available on: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0. Please submit your paper through the following EasyChair site: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=swcib2014. * Important Dates - Paper Submission Deadline: Sep. 20, 2014 (Extended) - Notification of Acceptance: Sep. 26, 2014 - Camera-ready Submission: Sep. 30, 2014 * Organizers Hanmin Jung, KISTI, Korea, jhm@kisti.re.kr Seungwoo Lee, KISTI, Korea, swlee@kisti.re.kr |
