Workshop On Securtiy In Cloud Computing
Organizers Dr. V. Vijayakumar and Dr. V. Neela Narayanan VIT University, Chennai Campus, Chennai, India The Conference includes the First International Workshop on Security in Cloud Computing(CCS 2013) with an aim to provide a high-level international forum for researchers, engineers, academics, practitioners and consultant to present and discuss recent advances, new techniques and applications in the field of Cloud Computing and Information Security. Cloud Computing will have major impacts, not only on the way we conduct science and research, but also on the quality of our daily human lives. Computation research, education, and business communities have been exploring the potential benefits of Cloud Computing and the changes these imply. Regardless of the rate of uptake, Cloud Computing has raised concerns. Despite the fact that it has huge potential for changing computation methods for better and provides tremendous research and commercial opportunities, it also creates great challenges to IT infrastructure, IT and computation management and policy, industry regulation, governance, the legal infrastructure and issues related to security and privacy. Accordingly, this workshop is designed to provide a scientific forum for members from the academic, research, and industry communities to discuss emerging concerns, recent advances, and future challenges in the area of security and privacy in the Cloud and to share potential solutions to the challenging questions that are motivating Cloud Computing education, research, and commercialization. To discuss and address these issues, we are inviting researches, engineers, academics, practiontioners and consultant who focus on cloud computing to shed more light on this emerging field(in all security aspects of cloud-centric), including (but not limited to): Cloud Security Controls Cloud Mobile Security Models Cloud Security Threats and Violations Cloud Digital Forensics Cloud Cybercrime and e-Discovery Cloud-based Intrusion Detection and Prevention Cloud Data and Services Recovery Cloud Security Standards Malware Analysis and Detection ROI of Cloud Security Security as a Service (SaaS) Big Data Security & Privacy issues Authentication and ID management in the Cloud Security for emerging cloud programming models Cloud-delivered security services Cryptographic protocols for cloud security Cloud threat/attack/vulnerability models Reliability and Fault Tolerance Security, integrity and privacy for Cloud Computing Trust and policy management in the Cloud New standards, guidelines, best practices for security and privacy in the Cloud Security risk models for cloud computing Cost and economic models for security in the Cloud Legal issues in the Cloud Incident Response in the Cloud Cloud forensics and e-discovery Auditing, verification, validation Security testing, evaluation, and measurement Data protection, maintenance, recovery, and risk assessment Penetration analysis, intrusion detection and prevention Cloud software vulnerability discovery |
