*****************************Aim & Scope*****************************
ECPPM2016 is the 11th European Association of Product and Project Modelling’s flagship conference, with a long-standing history of excellence in product modelling. The series of conferences was initiated in 1994 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Raimar Scherer (Head of the Institute for Construction Informatics, Department of Civil Engineering, TU Dresden), as a joint initiative of several European research projects related to construction information technology. ECPPM was in fact the first conference focusing on BIM, although in 1994 it was named product modelling. The ECPPM conferences bring together the academic, research, construction industry, and software developer communities, helping create synergies in the area of information management in the building and construction industry. Further, traditionally strong at ECPPM has been an overview of related EU research projects and the participation of experts from the EU. Notwithstanding the constant and frequent spur of new information technologies, the analysis and modeling of the information as well as the products of the industry and the processes in which they are designed and built remain very important. ECPPM2016 covers complementary thematic areas that hold great promise for the advancement of research and technological development in the solution of product modeling problems. In this context, ECPPM2016 foresees to attract high quality papers and provide a platform for the cross fertilization of new ideas and know-how under the special theme of the conference. Further, ECPPM conferences have thematically and participatory been open and have attracted numerous researchers from overseas. *****************************Conference Themes****************************** ECPPM2016 invites researchers, scientists and industry practitioners to submit papers addressing every aspect of product and process modelling technology and innovations in Information and Communication Technologies for the AEC/FM industry in agreement with, but not limited to, the following main themes: Information and Knowledge Management Description Logics and Ontology Application in AEC Interoperability Standardisation of Data Structures Collaboration and Teamwork 5D/nD Modelling, Simulation and Augmented Reality Building Performance Simulation System Identification Multi-Model and distributed Data Management Construction Management Risk Management Industrialized Production, Smart Products and Services Sustainable Buildings and Urban Environments Regulatory and Legal Aspects BIM Implementation and Deployment Intelligent Catalogues and Services Smart Cities Infrastructure Condition Assessment ******************************Important dates****************************** Abstract Submission February 15, 2016 Proposals for Workshops or Special Sessions February 15, 2016 Abstract Acceptance Notification February 28, 2016 Paper Submission April 15, 2016 Paper Notification April 30, 2016 Camera-Ready Paper Submission May 30, 2016 |
