IWCIA 2014 - First Announcement & Call for Papers

It is our pleasure to announce the sixteenth International Workshop on Combinatorial Image Analysis, May 28-30, 2014 at Brno University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic.

The previous Workshops were held in Paris (France, 1991), Ube (Japan, 1992), Washington DC (USA, 1994), Lyon (France, 1995), Hiroshima (Japan, 1997), Madras (India, 1999), Caen (France, 2000), Philadelphia (USA, 2001), Palermo (Italy, 2003), Auckland (New Zealand, 2004), Berlin (Germany, 2006), Buffalo, NY (USA, 2008), Playa del Carmen (Mexico, 2009), Madrid (Spain, 2011) and Austin (Texas, 2012).

IWCIA 2014 will feature invited talks by

- Valentin E. Brimkov, State University of New York
- Shadia Habbal, University of Hawaii
- Gabor Herman, City University of New York

The contributed talks will be presented in one general and two special sessions (Computational bio-imaging and visualization, Imaging in physics and astronomy).

Paper submission is through Open Conf tool, the submission deadline is November 15, 2013. The workshop proceedings will be published in the Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series and in the journal Mathematics for Applications published by the Brno University of Technology.

The conference fee is 340 € if paid before March 1, 2014, 360 € if paid between March 1 and April 30, 2014, and 400 € if paid by cash at the registration desk.
