SINET “16” Application Process Now Open to Identify Industry’s Most Innovative Cybersecurity Companies

SINET Showcase 2013 Delivers a Unique Opportunity for Global Entrepreneurs to Present to Investors, Builders and Buyers from Commercial and Government Markets

SINET Showcase 2013
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SINET™ an organization focused on the advancement of Cybersecurity innovation through public-private collaboration, announced today that the SINET 16 application process is now open through August 15. Each year, SINET assembles an esteemed steering committee of industry and government experts to select 16 innovative Cybersecurity companies to present their solutions in front of 350 builders, buyers, researchers and investors to include U.S. Federal Agencies and commercial entities. This audience represents some of the largest customers in the world. These SINET 16 innovators will be the highlight of the SINET Showcase agenda on December 4-5 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

“The SINET team has done a great job developing, managing and promoting this valuable program to continue to help connect entrepreneurial companies with other like-minded firms and government stakeholders.”

"The SINET 16 recognition has generated a number of great opportunities for ReversingLabs with both the U.S. government as well as other SINET 16 Innovators,” said Mario Vuksan, CEO of ReversingLabs. “The SINET team has done a great job developing, managing and promoting this valuable program to continue to help connect entrepreneurial companies with other like-minded firms and government stakeholders."

"Receiving recognition as a SINET 16 innovator in 2011 enabled CipherCloud to increase awareness for our cloud information protection capabilities in the public sector,” said Pravin Kothari, Founder and CEO of CipherCloud. “As securing our nation’s cyber defenses is a top priority for Congress and the Administration, it’s great to see SINET continue its tradition of connecting security innovators with government prospects."

The guideline for companies to participate is to have annual revenues of approximately fifteen (15) Million dollars or less. However, advanced products from more established companies, or from foreign countries, may also be considered if they meet high-priority security needs & requirements. SINET has assembled a 50-member steering committee consisting of Cybersecurity leaders from industry, government, venture capital, investment banking and academia. The steering committee works with Federal Agencies and private industry to identify their most critical needs and requirements, which is used to help evaluate applicant companies during the submission review process. SINET has received hundreds of applications over the years which has made this process very competitive. Over the last three years SINET 16 Innovators and other SINET community companies have had tremendous success through increasing awareness of their solutions to new markets, selling their products to government and industry buyers and receiving Federal Government grants and venture capital investments.
