Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
Dear colleague,
It is my real pleasure to invite you to submit a paper to the 9th Edition of the Mediterranean Microwave Symposium (MMS2009) which is taking place where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean in the Gibraltar Strait overlooking Moroccan city of Tangiers in November 15-17, 2009. MMS’2009 will provide an international forum for reporting progress and recent developments in RF and microwave and in many other related topics theory and applications. :MMS2009 will consist of technical and invited sessions and keynote and tutorial sessions covering the state-of-the art of several hot topics in RF and microwave engineering and technology. MMS’2009 will provide an international forum for reporting progress and recent developments in RF and microwave theory and applications. Suggested topics are listed below, but consideration will be given to papers on other subjects. 1. Propagation, Scattering and diffraction 6. Interconnects 2. Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Circuits. 7. Waves in composite and complex media 3. Photonics, non linear optics and devices 8. Antenna theory and measurement 4. Microwaves and millimeterwave devices CAD 9. Medical applications and biological effects. 5. RF and Wireless Technology and Applications 10. Others As was done in the former editions, MMS2009 will also organize the Best Paper competition for students attending and presenting their papers. The papers accepted and presented in MMS2009 will be published in both the MMS2009 Proceedings and in the IEEE Digital Library. Selected papers from those presented in MMS2009 will be also published in special issues of international journals as was also done in the former editions of this international conference. The following keynote talks are already confirmed: 1. SDR Based Power amplifiers /Transmitters for Advanced Wireless and Satellite Communications, by Fadhel Ghannouchi, University of Calgary, Canada 2. Microwave Antennas for Medical Applications, Koichi Ito, Research Center for Frontier Medical Engineering, Chiba University, Japan 3. Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits for Adaptive Beamforming, Frank Ellinger, Dresden University of Technology, Germany 4. The RF in RFID and the Improvement of Backscatter Radio Tag Efficiency , John N. Sahalos, Radio-Communications Laboratory, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece 5. UWB Antennas and Channel Characteristics, Werner Wiesbeck, Universität Karlsruhe, Germany There are also two invited sessions scheduled at MMS2009, namely, - Inverse Scattering and Microwave Imaging, Salvatore Caorsi, University of Pavia, Italy. - Advances in Microwave Photonics, Tibor Berceli, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary and Peter R Herczfeld, Drexel University, USA. Authors are invited to submit up to 4 pages extended abstract of their papers by JUNE 30, 2009. This abstract should explain clearly the content and relevance of the proposed contribution and should be prepared according to IEEE standard template for conference proceedings available at: http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html This file should be uploaded through this link: http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mms20090 Detailed and up-to-date information is available at MMS2009 website: www.ieee.ma/MMS2009/ Inquiries should be directed to: Prof. M. Essaaidi, e-mail m.essaaidi@ieee.ma I would be really very grateful to you if you could diffuse this CFP over any mailing list you have of people and institutions that might be interested by this symposium. Best wishes, Mohammad Essaaidi MMS2009 General Chair |
