53rd Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign September 29, 2015 – Opening Tutorial Lectures Coordinated Science Laboratory, 1308 W Main Street, Urbana, IL September 30-October 2, 2015 – Conference Session and Plenary Lecture Allerton Park and Retreat Center, 515 Old Timber Road Monticello, IL Each year, the Allerton Conference draws some of the brightest minds from industry, academia and government to discuss innovation in the fields of communication, control and computing. We invite you to submit your work and join us at Allerton Park and Retreat Center for an exciting few days of presentations, special events and networking. Allerton Conference Today More than 40 years after its inception, the Allerton Conference continues to bring together some of the most brilliant minds in the field. For four-days, participants discuss such wide-ranging topics as: communication systems communication and computer networks detection and estimation theory information theory error-control coding source coding and data compression queuing networks control systems robust and nonlinear control adaptive control optimization dynamic games large-scale systems robotics and automation manufacturing systems discrete event systems intelligent control multivariable control computer vision based control learning theory neural networks VLSI architectures for communications and signal processing automated highway systems The conference is held at the secluded Allerton Retreat Center, which is surrounded by 1,500 acres of formal gardens and nature areas. Located 26 miles southwest of the Urbana-Champaign campus, Robert Allerton Park and Retreat Center has been designated as a national natural landmark. The Allerton Conference has been growing each year, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2012. During the 35th annual conference in 1997, organizers buried a time capsule with instructions to open it in another 35 years. When the capsule is opened at the 2032 conference, many aspects of communication, control, and computing will be dramatically different — but one thing will likely remain the same: The Allerton Conference will still be a gathering place for the brightest minds in the fields of communication, control and computing. INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS: Regular papers suitable for presentation in twenty minutes are solicited. Regular papers will be published in full (subject to a maximum length of eight 8.5” x 11” pages, in two column format) in the Conference Proceedings. Only papers that are actually presented at the conference and uploaded as final manuscripts can be included in the proceedings, which will be available after the conference on IEEE Xplore. For reviewing purposes of papers, a title and a five to ten page extended abstract, including references and sufficient detail to permit careful reviewing, are required. Manuscripts can be submitted during June 15-July 6, 2015 with the submission deadline of July 6 being firm. Please follow the instructions at the Conference website: http://www.csl.uiuc.edu/allerton/. Authors will be notified of acceptance via e-mail by August 7, 2015, at which time they will also be sent detailed instructions for the preparation of their papers for the Proceedings. Final versions of papers to be presented at the conference are required to be submitted electronically by October 4, 2015 in order to appear in the Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore. |
