Call for Papers:
The workshop is open to all LA researchers with an interest in Goal Setting. On the learning side - learning science, educational psychology, assessment and evaluation, curriculum and pedagogy design, and management. On the data side - educational data mining, machine learning , HCI, computer science, and educational statistics. We accept paper submission along the following four main themes: Goal Setting Theory Goal Setting Measurement and Analytics Relationship between GS and other educational outcomes (e.g. interest, motivation, engagement, and academic performance) Goal Setting Technologies The specific topics include but are not limited to: Goal Setting and Student Motivation Goal Setting and Self-regulated learning Goal Setting platform and software Instruments and measures in Goal Setting Analytics on Goal Setting data Key Dates: Abstract Submission Deadline:February 5, 2016 (Extended!!!) Notification of Acceptance: February 19, 2016 Workshop: April 26, 2016 (1:00 PM - 4:30 PM) LAK'16 Conference: April 25-29, 2016 Location: This workshop will be collocated with the LAK'16 conference at Edinburgh, Scotland. Submission Format: Paper should be formatted according to ACM conference guidelines for full papers. Papers should not exceed 5 pages including references. Submit your abstract and full paper through EasyChair. We do not accept submissions through email! Three reviewers will be assigned to each paper to assess its quality and relevance. Workshop Proceedings: Accepted papers will be published in the CEUR workshop proceedings. Moreover, the organizers and program committee members will nominate at most two best papers to be part in a special issue of the International Journal of Learning Analytics.
