DANGHPS 2013 – 1st DEXA Workshop on Development of Applications for Next Generation High Performance Systems
Call for Papers Instead of relying on higher and higher clock speeds, time and memory hungry applications will be developed for next generation High Performance Computing Systems, with the need to exploit highly parallel and distributed architectures. This implies the need for new models of programming such systems. Traditional parallel programming leads to issues of synchronization and deadlocks, the need for parallel programming experts, hardly maintainable code, and problems in porting to other and distributed architectures. This workshop will present and discuss alternative approaches and tools to support highly parallel and diverse target architectures. Relevant topics for submissions include, but are not limited to: • High Performance Computing • Next Generation Computing • Parallel Programming Models • Parallel Programming Support • Flexible Parallel Hardware Support • Pattern Based Programming • Algorithmic Skeleton Frameworks • Use Cases and Success Stories regarding these topics Workshop Chairs Dr. Holger Schöner, Software Competence Center Hagenberg GmbH, Austria (holger.schoener@scch.at) PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research and application papers that are not being considered in another forum. Manuscripts will be limited to 5 two-column pages (Conference Publishing Services (CPS) style) including figures and references. Please follow the Conference Publishing Services (CPS) Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers. The guidelines for authors can be found at Conference Publishing Services (CPS, follow second link from http://www.dexa.org/node/12). Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF, postscript, or word format) is required (at https://confdriver.ifs.tuwien.ac.at/dexa2013/). At least one author of each accepted paper is required to attend the workshop and present the paper. Papers accepted for presentation will be published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS) as proceedings of the DEXA 2013 workshops. Important Dates Submission of Full Papers: May 13, 2013 Notification of Acceptance: May 22, 2013 Camera-ready Copies and Registration of Participation: May 30, 2013 Workshop: between August 26-30, 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic Publication Accepted Papers will be published in the DEXA Workshops Proceedings 2013 by Conference Publishing Services (CPS).
