The first UK-India International Workshop on Cognitive Wireless Systems (UKIWCWS
2009) will be held in IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India from 11 to 12 December 2009. This workshop is co-organized by the IEEE Delhi and IEEE UKRI Sections and also partly funded by the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council UK (EPSRC) and Department of Science and Technology (DST), India. You are invited to submit full papers that cover some aspect of cognitive wireless systems. Specific topics of interest include: • Fundamental performance limit of dynamic spectrum access, cognitive radio, multiuser, MIMO • Interference metric modelling • Beamforming, MIMO and antijamming channel coding as interference avoidance strategies • Radio resource allocation and dynamic spectrum sharing • Spectrum sensing, measurements and statistical modeling of spectrum usage • Wireless network co-existence • Wideband cognitive radio systems • Spectrum awareness and dynamic channel selection • Network coding and precoding • Interference alignment • Cooperative communications and relay networks • Cognitive MAC and routing protocols for dynamic spectrum access • Cross-layer optimization of cognitive radio systems • Applications of cognitive radio networks • Regulatory policies and their interactions with signal processing and networking • Cognitive radio test-beds and hardware prototypes • Pricing models for spectrum sharing in cognitive radio • Game theoretic consideration in cognitive radio • QoS consideration in cognitive radio Submission of Papers Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the Proceedings. The manuscript should be in two column IEEE format and should not exceed five pages. The submission of full papers has to be performed electronically before the deadline according to the instructions at http://www.interact-uki-cwsua.org/ukiwcws09 . |
