The 8th International Conference on Robotics, Vision, Signal Processing & Power Applications (ROVISP) is organized by School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. ROVISP 2013 welcomes researchers, scientists, engineers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all around the globe to present their research results and development activities for oral or poster presentations. The topics of interest are as follows but are not limited to:

Penang Island, popularly known as the “Pearl of the Orient” is located on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is connected to the mainland by the Penang Bridge, one of the longest bridges in the world. Whilst embracing modernity by being the top 3 most developed and industrialized states in Malaysia, Penang still retains its traditions and old charms. Georgetown, the capital of Penang, a UNESCO World Heritage site holds some of the oldest and historically significant structures. It is also renowned for its diverse culinary delights and many beautiful beaches.

• Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper in English, maximum of 4-6 pages in length including figures, tables and references.
• Authors of accepted papers will be notified by email.
• All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by Lecture Notes in electrical Engineering (LNEE)-Springer (indexed by EI and
SCOPUS).
• Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review.
• Please use the Springer Proceedings format for submission.
