CALL FOR PAPERS

2012 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO 2012) will be held
December 11-14, 2012, in Guangzhou, China. Known as Canton and Flower City with its pleasant and evergreen weather througout the year, Guangzhou is located some 120 km from
Hong Kong. Being the third largest Chinese city with a population of 13 million and host of 2010 Asian Games, Guangzhou plays a pivotal role in the rapid social and economic development of southern China and enjoys a modern transportation infrastructure. The nineth in the ROBIO conference series, we anticipate the 2012 ROBIO conference to be another tremendous opportunity for fruitful intellectual and social interactions among colleagues and friends in various facets of robotics and biomimeics research. We solicit full-length, high-quality, and original papers on the following topics:

• Robotics, mobile robots, aerial robots, and underwater robots
• Biomimetics, biologically inspired robots, climbing robots, snake robots, walking robots
• Automation, control systems, simulation techniques, and control applications
• MEMS, nanotechnology, NEMS, and micro/nano systems
• Telerobotics, human-robot interaction, and human computer interaction
• Sensor design, multi-sensor data fusion, and wireless sensor networks
• Medical robotics and biomedical and rehabilitation engineering
• Multi-robot systems, and distributed robotics
• Computer vision and image processing

All papers must be submitted in PDF with IEEE conference paper format and six pages in
length (or up to eight with extra page charge). All accepted papers will appear in IEEE Xplore, and will be submitted to EI for indexing.
