The 25th ACM Symposium on Applied Computing – SAC2010 Special Track on Cloud Computing March 21 – 26, 2010, Sierre, Switzerland http://www.nitc.ac.in/nitc/sac2010/cc.htm http://www.acm.org/conferences/sac/sac2010/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- For the past twenty-four years, the ACM Symposium on Applied Computing has been a primary gathering forum for applied computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers from around the world. SAC 2010 is sponsored by the ACM Special Interest Group on Applied Computing (SIGAPP), and is hosted by University of Applied Sciences, Western Switzerland (HES-SO) and Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. The ACM SAC 2010 Track on Cloud Computing welcomes paper submissions on all aspects of cloud computing research and applications with emphasis on those describing research on different forms of virtualization techniques as applied to systems computing. The list of possible topics includes but is not restricted to the following areas: * Architectural models for cloud computing * Virtualization of the infrastructure * Platform as a service * Software as a service * Hardware as a service * Elasticity in clouds * Storage virtualization * Green computing models for clouds * Programming models for clouds * Cloud computing for the mobile world * Threat handling and security issues in clouds * Enterprise applications on clouds * OS development for applications on clouds * QoS for applications on clouds * Optimization and performance issues on clouds * Communication protocols for clouds * Databases for clouds * Web 2.0 and clouds This track particularly welcomes theoretical models, algorithms, practical results, description and analysis of experiments and demonstrations of working prototypes of cloud computing applications. Your paper needs to be submitted to the track chairs. The submissions should be in electronic format (pdf), based on original, unpublished work. Authors are allowed up to 8 pages, but not more than 5 pages in the final camera ready version.
