Final Call for Papers for the 3rd IEEE International Symposium on Anonymity and Communication Systems (IEEE ACS 2013) Sponsors: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) IEEE Computer Society Organizers: Trusted Computing Institute, Central South University, China Venue & Dates: Melbourne, Australia, 16-18 July, 2013 Conference Website: http://trust.csu.edu.cn/conference/acs2013/ In Conjunction with The 12th IEEE International Conference on Trust, Security and Privacy in Computing and Communications (IEEE TrustCom-13) http://anss.org.au/trustcom2013/ Introduction With the extensive applications of computer network technologies, various network environments, including cloud computing, Internet of Things, P2P networks, and social networks, are emerging in our daily lives. The emerging applications require stronger security and privacy mechanisms to protect network communications among users. Anonymous communication is used to hide communication participants or communication relations so as to achieve effective protection for network nodes and user identities. Anonymous communication can address potential network security issues, and becomes one of the hot topics in the field of network and information security. For the better protection of secure communication and user privacy, including location, identity and behavior habits, it is necessary to develop anonymous communication theories, methods and key technologies of anonymous communication systems in all varieties of application environments. Scope and Interests IEEE ACS 2013 aims at providing a forum for discussing the latest academic and industrial research results in all aspects of anonymous communication systems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: 1. Architecture for anonymous communication system 2. Formalizing anonymous communication system 3. Anonymity measures and evaluation 4. Controllable management and revocability in anonymous communication 5. Anonymous communication in cloud computing 6. Anonymous communication in Internet of Things 7. Anonymous communication in P2P networks 8. Anonymous communication in social networks 9. Anonymous signature and authentication 10. Anonymous communication & privacy protection 11. Anonymous communication & network security 12. Anonymous email system 13. Anonymous storage and publishing system 14. Anonymous browsing system Submission and Publication Information The accepted papers from this conference will be published by IEEE Computer Society in IEEE TrustCom-13 conference proceedings (indexed by EI Compendex). Papers should be written in English conforming to the IEEE conference proceedings format (8.5" x 11", Two-Column). Papers should be submitted through the paper submission system at the conference website. Each paper is limited to 6 pages (or 8 pages with the over length charge). Distinguished papers, after further revisions, will be considered for possible publication in SCI & EI indexed special issues of prestigious international journals. The program committee will select and award one "Best Paper Award" for this symposium. By submitting a paper to the conference, authors assure that if the paper is accepted, at least one author will attend the conference and present the paper. Important Dates (1) Submission Deadline: April 1, 2013 (Firm Deadline) (2) Authors Notification: April 25, 2013 (3) Final Manuscript Due: May 15, 2013 (4) Registration Due: May 15, 2013 (5) Conference Dates: July 16-18, 2013 Steering Chair Guojun Wang, Central South University, China General Co-Chairs Juan E.
