Call for Papers
ISMIR 2015 welcomes contributions to the fields of music information retrieval, including but not limited to the following topics: content-based query and retrieval database systems, indexing and query fingerprinting and digital right management music transcription and annotation music signal processing symbolic music processing music sound source separation score following and music synchronization optical music recognition melody and motives rhythm, beat, tempo structure segmentation and analysis harmony, chords and tonality timbre, instrumentation and voice performance analysis music synthesis and transformation computational musicology | music perception and cognition computational ethnomusicology emotion, mood, affection MIR applications genre, style and mood analysis similarity metrics music summarization user interfaces & interaction user modeling music recommendation playlist generation text and web mining social tags and metadata libraries, archives and digital collections evaluation and annotation aesthetics music and gaming Research papers authors are invited to submit full-length papers of up to six pages long. All accepted papers should be presented at the conference either as oral presentation or as poster and they will be published in the ISMIR conference proceedings. All research papers will go through a double-blind review and selection process with at least three reviewers per submission. Here are the submission details. Paper Submission Papers must be formatted according to the following instructions: Submitted papers must be no more than six pages long and must consist of original contributions. Submit your paper in PDF format according to one of the following templates: ISMIR 2015 LaTeX and Word Template Packages. Submission system will be opened on January 2015. About Deadline Extension There will be no extension to the paper submission deadline (April 27th). However, authors of registered papers on April 27th will be allowed to upload new versions of their papers (in PDF format) until May 4th (23h59 American Samoa timezone). No other changes will be possible (i.e. authors will not be able to change title, abstract, authors, keywords/topics, or other metadata). No submission of new papers will be possible after May 4th. On The Reviewing Process In order to ensure the quality of the published papers at the conference, all the submitted papers are evaluated according to the following criteria: novelty scholarly/scientific quality appropriateness of topic importance readability and paper organization Since ISMIR2008, ISMIR reviews are double blind; that is, authors and reviewers will be anonymous to each other. To ensure this please keep the author list "from" appearing in the text and avoid excessive reference to your own work. The reviewing workflow follows a two-tier model, i.e. with one level of "regular" reviewers, and another level of "meta-reviewers". All the papers are examined by, at least, three reviewers. |
