Apologies if you receive multiple copies of this announcement /***************************************************************************/ Dear colleagues, We are very pleased to announce the 4th International Workshop on Quality in Web Engineering (QWE'13), to be held in conjunction with the ICWE Conference in Aalborg, Denmark, July 8-12, 2013. ******************************************************************************** CALL FOR PAPERS 4th International Workshop on Quality in Web Engineering (QWE'13) July 8-12 2013 Aalborg, Denmark http://www.dsic.upv.es/workshops/qwe13 Co-located with the 13th International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE) http://icwe2013.webengineering.org/ ******************************************************************************** IMPORTANT DATES Paper Submission: April 30, 2013 Author Notification: June 7, 2013 Camera-ready Papers: June 25, 2013 Workshop date: July 8, 2013 ******************************************************************************** The "Quality in Web Engineering" workshop (QWE) is aimed at bringing together professionals and researchers interested in discussing recent trends and perspectives in the role of quality in Web Engineering. The purpose of QWE is to assess the effectiveness of existing approaches for evaluating and managing the quality of Web resources (e.g., quality models, quality evaluation methods, information quality tools, logging tools, automatic metric capture tools, etc.), with the final objective of allowing researchers and practitioners to discuss recent trends and open issues. An issue of particular importance is when and how the different quality characteristics should be exploited and integrated into a well-defined Web development process. In this sense, we are looking for contributions that discuss not only technical and theoretical aspects, but also methodological and practical issues related with quality for Web applications. More information on the Workshop can be found at the Workshop Web site: http://www.dsic.upv.es/workshops/qwe13 TOPICS OF INTEREST Relevant topics include, but are not limited to: * Quality definition and assessment -Information quality dimensions: estimation of information age, provenance, validity, coverage, and completeness or correctness. - Web sources reputation and trustworthiness - Quality assessment and improvement methods - Comparative analysis of quality metrics - Theoretical/empirical validation of quality metrics - Tools for automatic quality assessment * Quality-aware design and development - Quality guidelines, factors, criteria, metrics, patterns, and recommendations - Ergonomic/HCI criteria and principles - Usability and accessibility - Quality of information integration on the Web - Management of quality requirements in Web projects - Role of groups, communities - Integration of quality assessment activities in the development processes - Early quality assessment (e.g., based on models, user interfaces prototypes, etc.) - User Experience - Empirical studies - Industrial experiences SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION The proceedings of ICWE 2013 workshops will be published by Springer in its Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Paper length is 12 pages. For formatting guidelines and submission instructions please consult the Paper Submission page at http://users.dsic.upv.es/workshops/qwe13/submission.html. We are also reaching an agreement with an international journal for a post-workshop special issue.
