**** ASAI 2013 Argentine Symposium on Artificial Intelligence **** UNC - Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Córdoba Capital, Argentina part of 42 JAIIO - 42 Argentine Conference of Informatics - http://www.42jaiio.org.ar/ 16th - 17th September, 2013 ================================================================================ **** Final Call for Papers **** **** Submission deadline 15th May **** ASAI, the Argentine Symposium on Artificial Intelligence, is an annual event intended to be the main forum of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) community in Argentina. The symposium aims at providing a forum for researchers and AI community members to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences on diverse topics of AI. Previous ASAI editions stimulated presentations on both applications of AI and new tools and foundations currently under development. **** IMPORTANT NEWS **** 1. We are happy to announce our invited speakers: Prof. Dr. Carles Sierra and Prof. Dra. Silvia Schiaffino Dr. Carles Sierra is a Full Professor of the Spanish National Research Council. His current research interests include: multiagent systems, uncertainty, robotics, and electronic institutions. He is an ECCAI Fellow, and a member of the IFAAMAS (International Foundation of Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems) and EUMAS (European Conference on Multiagent Systems) boards. He was the local organiser of the IJCAI-11 conference that took place in Barcelona. He is member of several editorial boards of journals in the area of Artificial Intelligence, including Artificial Intelligence Journal, International Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, and AI Communications, among others. Talk: Negotiation and Search. Dra. Silvia Schiaffino is Adjunct Researcher at CONICET (Argentina) and Adjunct Professor at Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Pcia. de Bs. As., in Tandil, Argentina. She is also member of ISISTAN Research Institute, Tandil. Her current research interests include user profiling, agents, and recommender systems, in different application domains. Talk: User Profiling: past, present and future trends. 2. The symposium will consist of invited talks and regular paper sessions presenting mature work (full papers) in theoretical research and applications. A poster session will be devoted to the presentation of new ideas and less mature work in general (extended abstracts). Submissions are due on May 15th 2013. Submissions can be made through the SADIO's OCS system (http://sgc.sadio.org.ar/sgc/). All papers will be peer-reviewed by referents of the area. The submission of manuscripts must follow the format available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. The page limit for a full paper is 12 pages. Extended abstracts describing novel research visions, work-in-progress or less mature results are also welcome, with a limit of 4 pages. All contributions should be submitted in PDF formats. For diffusion reasons, papers in English are strongly recommended (Spanish is also acceptable). Information on the format of the camera-ready copy will be forwarded with the acceptance letter. Each accepted paper must be presented in the symposium, and the presenter must be registered in the conference. SPECIAL ISSUE JOURNAL "Inteligencia Artificial" The authors of the best papers written in English will be invited to submit extended versions of their works. These will be subjected to a second peer review and those selected will be published by the an Special Issue of the Journal "Inteligencia Artificial" (IberoAmerican Journal of Artificial Intelligence, ISSN: 1137-3601). IMPORTANT DATES May 15th, 2013 : Deadline for submissions of papers July 1st, 2013 : Notification of Acceptance/Rejection July 15h, 2013 : Deadline for camera ready submissions CONTACT For further information, visit ASAI 2013 webpage: http://www.42jaiio.org.ar/asai or send an e-mail to: asai@42jaiio.org.ar |
