CALL FOR PAPERS
32nd International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems, IEEE SRDS 2013 September 30 - October 3, 2013. Braga, Portugal http://srds.di.uminho.pt The Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems is a forum for researchers and practitioners interested in distributed systems design, development and evaluation, particularly with emphasis on reliability, availability, safety, security, trust and real time. We welcome original research papers as well as practical experience reports that deal with design, development and experimental results of operational systems. IMPORTANT DATES Abstract submission: April 2, 2013 Full paper submission: April 8, 2013 Authors notification: June 18, 2013 Camera-ready: July 15, 2013 Workshops: September 30, 2013 Conference: October 1-3, 2013 SCOPE The major areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: Cloud computing and virtualization: X-as-a-Service Autonomic, pervasive and ubiquitous computing Parallel and distributed operating systems Distributed objects and middleware systems Dependable communication networks, QoS control and assessment Fault-tolerant and secure sensor nets and machine-to-machine communication Internet-based systems and applications Distributed databases and transaction processing Distributed multimedia systems Privacy-assuring large scale data management systems Enabling technologies for dependable applications, including intelligent transport systems and smart energy grids Formal methods and foundations for dependable distributed computing Analytical or experimental evaluations of dependable distributed systems Distributed algorithms Secure and trusted systems High-assurance and safety-critical system design and evaluation BEST PAPER AWARD The symposium will highlight the best paper. All papers accepted for presentation at the symposium will be evaluated by the Best Paper Award Co-Chairs for the award. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Please see the submission page for information. Accepted papers will appear in the symposium proceedings, which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society. WORKSHOPS Workshops will be held in conjunction with SRDS 2013 on September 30, 2013.
