Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The focus of the ROSE conference series is on sensing and perception modalities, as well as their impact on autonomous robotics and intelligent systems development and applications. Papers are solicited on all aspects of sensing systems and technologies for robotics and industrial automation, human-robot cooperation, multimodal or distributed sensing, and perception technologies. These include, but are not limited to: sensor controlled systems operation, collaborative manufacturing, inspection and quality control, human and robot interaction, tele-operation, robot manipulation, mobile robotics, emergent applications such as rescue robots, swarm robotics and mems, and also on robot sensors and vision, environment monitoring, intelligent sensing, machine vision and image processing, 3D sensing and modeling, signal processing and sensor fusion, new sensor technologies, and distributed sensor networks.
The 2009 edition of the IEEE International Workshop on RObotic and Sensors Environments is sponsored by the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. ROSE 2009 will take place at Politecnico di Milano University in the city of Lecco, in Italy, on 6-7 November 2009. Lecco, the capital city of the province of Lecco, is located in the Lombardy region of Italy. The city lies at the end of the south-eastern branch of the famous Lake Como while the Prealps rise to the north and east, providing wonderful landscapes.
