Reliability and Security Data Analysis (RSDA) 2016 co-located with the 46th Annual IEEE/IFIP DSN, Toulouse (FR) - Jun 28, 2016 Website: http://www.mobilab.unina.it/RSDA2016/ WikiCFP: http://www.wikicfp.com/cfp/servlet/event.showcfp?eventid=50449©ownerid=47465 ******************************* The 2nd IEEE International Workshop on Reliability and Security Data Analysis (RSDA 2014) is co-located with the 25th IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE) being held in November 3-6, 2014, Naples, ITALY. RSDA 2014 follows its past successful edition held at DSN 2013. RSDA Committees ensure a balanced mix between academic and industrial participation, and cutting-edge research areas and application domains. KEYNOTE We are pleased to announce that the RSDA 2014 keynote talk will be given by Brendan Murphy of Microsoft Research, UK. For more information, visit the RSDA keynote page (http://www.mobilab.unina.it/RSDA2014/keynote.html). WEBPAGE http://www.mobilab.unina.it/RSDA2014 *** CALL FOR PAPERS *** The inherent potential of reliability and security data is well recognized by academia and industry for assessing dependability properties of computer systems and operational networks, and improving the engineering process. Analysis of textual logs and numeric data produced under real workload conditions by applications, systems, and networks, intrusion detection systems, and issue trackers plays a key role for engineers and practitioners. Nevertheless, in spite of decades of research and methodological advances, data analysis in this specific area keeps posing challenging research questions due to the heterogeneity, volume and velocity of the collected data, the lack of systematic end-to-end analysis procedures, the increasing diversity of analysis objectives and emerging application domains in critical areas. RSDA GOALS The workshop aims to concentrate ideas and contributions from academic and industrial organizations addressing reliability and security aspects of computer systems and networks through data analysis. The past RSDA edition has established a forum to stimulate scientific research and discuss analysis techniques, procedures and tools that are currently adopted to manage, analyze or evaluate reliability and security data sets. The expected output of the workshop is to keep fostering synergies between researchers and industrial bodies of different research communities concerned by RSDA and establishing the agenda of future research activities in the area. TOPICS OF INTEREST The workshop addresses the following topics: - System logs and security-related data collection, processing and management; - Reliability and security evaluation and modeling; - Security monitoring and control; - Improving reliability and security through data analysis; - Benchmarking techniques to assess reliability and security; - Novel tools for reliability and security data analysis; - Big data analytics for reliability and security assessment; - Advances and challenges in reliability and security data analysis; - Analytical and simulation studies; - Issue and defect analysis; - System diagnosis and root cause analysis; - Experience reports and data analysis in real-world systems. Relevant application areas include, but are not limited to: - Distributed systems, smart grids and critical infrastructures; - Cloud computing infrastructures; - Operational networks and network applications; - Real-time and embedded systems; - Database and transactional systems - Operating systems; - Email and Web-based information systems; - Secure and intrusion tolerant systems. PAPER SUBMISSION Submissions must not exceed 6 pages in length and conform to the IEEE conference proceedings style, must be made electronically and imply the willingness of at least one of the authors to attend the workshop, if accepted. Accepted submissions will be included in the ISSRE 2014 IEEE supplemental Proceedings and on IEEE Xplore as workshop papers.
