IT in large enterprises have historically been designed to deliver solutions while avoiding creating technical debt and minimizing risk. Designing systems this way often extends the time to deploy solutions as many possible outcomes have to be taken into consideration before development can begin. Designing this way can also delay the ability to make improvements to the system. An agile architecture is defined by the Scaled Agile Framework as “an active evolution of the design and architecture of a system, concurrent with the implementation of new business functionality”. As enterprises adopt agile methodologies for how teams work together, the IT can become the bottleneck due to design inflexibility. Microservices and API based systems increase IT agility by de-coupling components and allow the teams to work independently and autonomously. This session welcomes papers addressing the need to improve agility of IT systems for enterprises that adopting agile practices. -----~*******~-------- Topics of Interest -----~*******~-------- Papers are invited in the areas below, but do not exclude research in the general areas of these topics. - Agile Architecture - Continuous Architecture - De-coupling Enterprise Systems - Microservices - API - Enterprise Architecture in Agile -----~*******~-------- Paper Submissions -----~*******~-------- Paper submission system is available at: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=es2016 The submitted paper should adhere to the double-blind review policy. All papers will be double-blind reviewed by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity.
