Dear Professor/Assoc. Professor/Dr./Mr./Mrs./Ms.,

It is our sincere pleasure to invite you to participate in the upcoming Malaysian International Tribology Conference 2013 (MITC2013), jointly organized by the Malaysian Tribology Society (MYTRIBOS) and the Institute of Mechanical & Technology Advancement (i-META). The conference will take place in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia during November 18-20, 2013.

The objective of MITC2013 is for the scientists, scholars, engineers and students from universities, research institutions and industries all around the world to present findings of ongoing research activities, and hence foster research collaborations between the universities and the industry. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.

ALL PRESENTED PAPERS will be published in Procedia Engineering (ISSN: 1877-7058) by Elsevier and will be accessible on sciencedirect.com. Proceedia Engineering is an open access journal indexed in Scopus, Engineering Index and Ei Compendex.

EXTENDED VERSION of the selected papers will also be considered for special issues in Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science / International Journal of Mechanical and Materials Engineering / Journal of Mechanical Engineering / Jurnal Teknologi. All journals are indexed in Scopus.

UP TO TEN OUTSTANDING ACCEPTED PAPERS for which a young tribologist (below 36 years old) is a principle author will be awarded Taiho Kogyo Tribology Research Foundation for Symposium & Young Tribologist grants worth USD500 per person.
