Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
Following the success of three previous editions of the Workshop on Cognitive Information Processing, we are pleased to announce the CIP 2014 Copenhagen experience. This workshop aims at bringing together researchers from the machine learning, cognitive engineering, human-machine interaction, pattern recognition, statistical signal processing in an effort to promote and encourage cross-fertilization of ideas and tools. CIP 2014 will take place at the Bella Sky Hotel which rises as two leaning towers at the island Amager - an impressive and original architectural landmark. The workshop will feature keynote addresses and technical presentations, oral and poster, all of which will be included in the workshop proceedings. Papers are solicited for the following areas in theory and applications.
Theory areas Machine learning theory and algorithms Cognitive dynamic systems Cognitive principles for machine architectures and training Adaptive and sparsity-aware learning Cognitive fuzzy methods and techniques Cognitive approaches to decision making and game theory Cognitive psychology modeling Collaborative sensing Machine understanding and human-machine interaction Algorithms and Tools for Large-Scale Machine Learning Application areas Sound and audio systems Robotics, artificial vision, Datamining, textmining, Engineering systems, industrial processes, Sentiment analysis Economy and finance Social networks, social science Cognitive communications: Modulation, networks, dynamic spectrum management and personalization Medicine, neuroimaging, bioinformatics, Cognitive radar and sonar: Detection, estimation, tracking and target identification Energy and smart grids, advanced manufacturing SPECIAL SESSIONS are solicited in the same areas. Please suggest the topic and 3-5 potential speakers to Program Chair Jan Larsen (cip2014-programchair.conwiz.dk) before December 1, 2013. A STUDENT PRIZE of 500.00 EUR will recognize the best contribution whose first author is a graduate student.
