Studies dealing with viruses, bacteria, parasitic protozoa, fungi and helminths of medical, veterinary or agronomical relevance, related to the following general themes: Micro-and macro-evolution Experimental evolution Co-evolution between hosts, pathogens and vectors Genetics and Genomics Host genetic susceptibility to transmissible diseases (humans and animals), pathogenesis In-silico evolution Mathematical modelling Molecular diagnosis, epidemiology and taxonomy Proteomics Population genetics, population genomics, phylogenetics, phylogenomics, phylogeography In the framework of these general themes, specialized topics will concern COVID-19, HIV, ZIKA, Ebola, tuberculosis and other bacterial diseases, helminth infections, malaria, Chagas disease, Leishmania, vector biology. |
